On July 27th, 2010, China FDA published the Notice of Related Issues on Re-registration of Health Food on its website, and health food re-registration and change of certificate begins.
Health Food re-registration refers to those whose Health Food Certificate is expired or issued by Ministry of Health (MOH). Since 1996, MOH was in charge of Health Food Certificate approval, the Health Food Certificates issued then hadn¡¯t a valid period. China SFDA took over the work in July, 2003, stipulating the valid period of Health Food Certificate is 5 years. Thus, there are batches of products need to change certificates.
